I created this collection from second hand clothes sourced in France and Germany.

Each piece has been redesigned and upcycled by hand by myself and my pattern maker Louise Dancy.

The materials used to sublimate each creation were locally sourced and via independent suppliers.

 

This collection is a tribute to the Taiwanese master Hou Hsiao-Hsien's film "The Flowers of Shanghai" and refers to the aesthetics of the film only.

 

*This collection is the fruit of my own imagination, featuring the deep shimmering colors and luxurious prints of 19th century Chinese society without any direct voluntary connection to it or any cultural appropriation. I respect Chinese culture and do not wish to offend or denigrate it in any way.
